James Curtis (Head Beekeeper) has sat on the committee of the Chelmsford Beekeepers – a local division of the BBKA (British Beekeepers Association) for 2 years this January. Each year the Division holds its AGM where all the usual important business is undertaken including reports back from the Chair, Treasurer etc of what has happened over the year. All of this information is presented to the members. The other important business that is undertaken is to re-elect members to the committee and also to elect new members to the table.
This year there was a great deal of change with the existing Chair standing down after two years at the helm. James was put forward to move from a roving position on the committee to a more specific role. He was promoted up to the roles of Vice Chair, Secretary, Website manager and Newsletter editor.
Its sure going to keep him busy!
